Sunset 26 August 2021 - GRAHAM REEDIER

So, I am unexpectedly the Vigil for tonight.  A crash on the Humber Bridge means the allotted Vigil cannot cross over.  An hour to think, reflect and ponder.  My thoughts were all over the place.  Family and friends who are still with me and those who have departed.

I love this City and to see it from the vantage point of the Shelter was special.  I was reminded in my thoughts of hearing the phrase, “We are lucky.  We count our blessings every day.”  As said, many times, by Meg. 

I had the perfect Companion tonight; someone who has been a part of my life for all these years.  Someone who I met when we were both aged 21 and will cherish till the day I die – my Meg, my wife!, my Companion.  X
