Sunset 23 May 2021 - Amber Goodwin

The first thing that struck me is that it is so unusual to be above the birds, watching the seagulls flying to and fro.  I felt it was beautiful to watch them.  The city looks like a ‘model village’ from up here, but that of a port city.  Watching the boats travel west to east and towards wonderful Spurn and the sea.

The most beautiful experience I had is that I felt this city is an island.  Tucked between grey river and thick, grey docks obscuring the hills to the west.

Is that a building?  Or a boat?  It all becomes much the same in the rain.

It was lovely to have an hour to watch, observe and breathe in the city, its life and its people.
