Sunrise 5 October - Mark Babych

Looking out across the East of the city the lights of cars and traffic twinkled and travelled past way below and the lights on the Humber moved across the river reminding me of how busy life is and how rare these moments of stillness are – I thought about the view and I turned to the other window and I thought how different everything looked through a different lens – it made me think of how life is different for many people and that seeing through different lenses gives you an important and humbling perspective on life.  I looked beyond the horizon, over the distant slopes of the hills (however small) and thought of my family far away and those who are no longer with me.
