Sunrise 30 March - Sandra Cooper

A day chosen to reflect the passing of my mother in 1995, the day before her 81st birthday.  Solitude aided making the connection.

A dull, drizzly morning – and, unfortunately, the sun did not make an appearance.  However, the increase in daylight assures us all that the sun is still there, lighting and warming the earth.

As the atmosphere warms, distant landmarks become shrouded in mist and gradually disappear into a grey cloud.

Life goes on, traffic continues to stream into the city and lights appearing in windows tells us the day is about to start again for many.
