Sunrise 28 January - Martin Pliener

I was blessed with a beautiful sunrise – it was very moving to see and watch.  The Humber looked beautiful.  I have always seen Hull as being dominated/defined by the magnificent estuary – but I was still overwhelmed by the scale of it and the placing of many key buildings in relation to it.  The scale of Queen’s Gardens and the thought this was once a place where goods were loaded and unloaded.

I was surprised by the amount of traffic noise and wondered if any visually impaired people had undertaken a vigil.

Many of the buildings looked very ordinary in comparison to the older ones which survive and few modern ones particularly appealed to me even ones which on the ground look great.

I thought about my dependence on my Companion to get me back into the main building.

This has been a great experience!
