Sunrise 24 June 2021 - JANE WRAY

At first I was restless wanting to look at everything across the city through both windows – and see the city I grew up in and is my home.

Slowly the restlessness settled as I watched and listened to the city waking up.  The light changed, colour came into focus and the sounds of the seagulls became lost as the noise of traffic, people and machinery increased.

It is a city surrounded by water – so much water!  I watched the sky and I looked at the city and it brought back so many happy memories of friends and family – places we went and things we did.  A great city.  Great people.

I started restless but finished reflective, nostalgic and peaceful.  A wonderful idea.
