Sunrise 2 July 2021 - MATT GREEN

There was darkness.  Not as dark as I imagined.  Not ‘pitch black’ but a murky blue atmosphere.

I could see the main shapes of the main buildings, but other shapes were unclear and mysterious.

Gradually there was light.  Slowly at first and then ever more light.  The mysterious shapes became more clear: a wind turbine, a wall of graffiti, a statue.  And all through this, the people, the traffic and the city . . . awoke.
