Sunrise 17 August 2021 - BARBARA ROBERTS

Sunrise today, yesterday and tomorrow will happen.  Today I was there to see it.  Knowing the sun has risen for millions of years in the past and will do for millions of years in the future!  Problems in my head knowing that it is the earth that is moving and not the sun.  In Thorngumbald the sunrise is one minute earlier than in Hull, so am I looking into the future – or the past?

Things look different in the light, finding Holderness Road, the Prison became easier as the sky lightened.

Even the rather dull morning with rain couldn’t dampen my feelings – which I can’t really explain.  Just the feeling of being there.
