Sunrise 12 January - Alison White

The sheer glory of the sun rising over this beloved city.  We did nothing to make the sun rise or set – light in the city over the city – life giving.  And mostly we don’t notice, busily getting on with a new day, eyes down.

It has been a gift to be the Bishop of Hull these seven years, to be part of keeping watch over the city and holding it in the gaze of love.  The blessing of God.
