Sunset 4 January - Eilis Byrne

It was a beautiful experience watching over a bustling city as it winds down for the night.  Thousands of people all engulfed in their own worlds walking their own routes and, unbeknownst to them, I was sharing parts of their journey. 

It was strange to see all the streets I grew up in from a different light.  Tracing streets I have walked down many times but noticing small details that would never have stood out to me before.  I have been filled with the desire to take more time consciously walking and really taking in the sights.

This experience has also made me appreciate the sky and how truly beautiful it can be.  I was blessed with a glorious sunset and saw an array of amazing colours.  If I was a painter I would have wanted to paint it.  Wonderful experience!
