Despite the cloudy conditions it was an amazing experience to see the city from a new perspective.  The opportunity to be completely isolated, clear my mind and from that height observe a city that I have grown to love, slowly wind down and become rested was incredibly calming.  I was surprised at that height to see how small, short and connected the city really is.  The experience filled me with a sense of new responsibility both for the city around us and for myself and my family too.   I really appreciated the opportunity to be part of such a wonderful event and will be thinking of fellow vigil takers until the end of the year.  X
