Sunset 3 October - Vicki Brownlee

The bright sun amongst the clouds to the west with a fabulous view of the Bridge and the Wolds beyond.  A look to the east saw a growing rainbow and the distant wind turbines. 

A windy evening but amongst the cars, wind and birds, the moments where time seemed to stand still, the children paused their game of football and the squirrel paused at the bin, no cars moved and it felt silent. 

But then the bouncing orb of sunlight began to fall quicker than I actually thought possible and the sky was left with a beautiful orange glow – and it was over.  Time stood still – yet passed so quickly.
