Sunset 2 August 2021 - SARAH WATSON

My life chapters spread beneath my feet.

At school below me.  Gallery probably now a sports hall at the academy.  Quay Art in Princes Quay.  Modern poky flats and period houses I lived in.  St Mary’s where I got married.  Big investments at the time but seemingly inconsequential now.

The distant landscape burned before the glorious orb of the last of the Sun fell beneath the cloud and melted on the horizon.

East had less interest and less connection beyond distant memories of Dutch Dashes as the P & O ferry crawled along and out of the Humber.
