Sunset 19 June 2021 - KERI RENNISON

After a very difficult year, I wanted to feel connected after feeling emotionally disconnected.  My vigil of watching over my city was peaceful and allowed for reflection and began to feel some connection.  I did not realize how green our city is, so many trees and wildlife.

 

I felt centered in the box and for the first time in a long time I had an hour by myself, where no one wanted anything from me or was expecting me to do something for them.

 

The light and shade of the city was simply beautiful as I watched the city fall asleep.  I was joined by a flock of birds who came in to roost on top of the box.  As the chatter of the birds calmed and the sun set, I did not know what species of birds they were that joined me but all I could think of was the lyric from the Housemates: ‘What A Good Place To Be.”

 

Thank you for this amazing experience.  I shall cherish it forever.
