Sunset 15 September - Adam Tyas

Firstly, I was gifted with glorious weather, a beaming sun with blue skies scattered with white clouds.

As the sun lowered you could see the activity of the city slow.  Traffic eased, people enjoying the weather in Queen’s Gardens began to retreat and the evening joggers emerged.

I would challenge myself to identify a building in the distance to prove to myself how much I know my city.  I’d recall memories of each location from a City of Culture event, a patient I’d attended or a drunken night out.

The experience allowed me to become a passive observer to my city in which I am normally stomping the streets or flying about in an ambulance.  It was so peaceful to be able to stop, stand back and simply observe my city.
