Sunrise 5 August 2021 - CHRIS CHURCH

I saw the sun come up over the horizon like a red balloon slowly emerging.  Then gradually becoming yellow and lighter until I couldn’t look at it any more.  An amazing experience.  I watched seagulls flying at my height and small flocks of birds landing on Queen’s Gardens.

I watched the light on the river and the roofs and in the windows of the taller buildings and heard and watched the city begin to wake.  Thank you.
