Sunrise 30 October - Louise Morris

What an experience – an hour watching the city wake up.  Watching the sky turn from grey to blue and back again.  Watching the clouds scud across the sky.  Seeing the sun peek from between the clouds and illuminate the city, reflected on the Wilberforce statue to the west and the water to the east.  Birds soaring on the wind and gathering in groups on the water in Queen’s Gardens.  People walking to work and playing with their dogs on the grass.  Smoke from the chimneys moving like train carriages.  Listening to the wind, the birds and just the one ambulance siren.  So many sights and sounds – and the time to experience them with no distractions.

Part of a chain.  A privilege.  Thank you.
