What an incredible experience!!

I was incredibly lucky to have a cloud-free, glorious morning which meant the rise of the sun was just belting. 

I had driven down from Filey as my wonderful wife had booked a late weekend away with our family and forgotten.  Oops!  The journey was really worth it, however, for a moment I will never forget.  When the sun first peered over the hills, wow!!

Also, it was lovely to have time to think.  It would have been my Grandad’s 100th birthday today and it was great to wonder what the view would have been like for John Carrick in 1921.

Thank you for allowing me this incredible opportunity.  What a spiritual hour!
