Sunrise 15 February - Lou Yates

Red sky in the morning, sailors’ warning,’ I heard a voice say.  Orange, pink, purple: it was striking, stunning and I felt still and calm.  The glow.  I was wearing the city like a swirling skirt around me.  I felt at ease and safe, something was about to begin.  Lights on the horizon started to dim and birds swooped.  I felt excited as it crept over the horizon all bright and like a massive hug.  Tears began to roll but not sad ones, just the mark of a special moment and being here in this place and knowing everything will be OK here.  Keep looking east.  Looking west was not giving me the same feeling of safety and warmth.  It was screaming danger but east there was love and a pull that felt like home.
