Sunrise 14 November - Sarah Colley

Musings on the morning of Remembrance Sunday.

 M.A.G.I.C.A.L.

Misty morning starts and stops

Alarms and sirens alert the cops

Gulls call out to each other

Inspiring architecture east and west

Challenging you to pause, look and think

Autumnal weather, heat in the box

Leaves like confetti line the streets

As a busy Mum, I rarely get the chance to pause for an hour and just look.  I wanted to sign up for Remembrance Sunday as I am from a military family and live with an ex-member of the Forces but I found myself just looking, watching and absorbing the scenery!  I have no deep reflections to make on peace or war but just the beauty of the world we live in and the need for kindness to all.

Thank you for the experience.
