Sunrise 1 April - Ruby Deverell

I felt isolated, which I guess we’re all pretty used to but also a sense of connection.  Connection to the city as it rises from slumber. 

My sunrise wasn’t anything spectacular but felt special all the same.  The highlight was the pink hue given to the cloud at first light.  And the Venn Bridge lifting to let a barge through; all my life living in Hull and I’ve never seen that.  I’m glad I chose sunrise, watching light creep over and beam on different parts of the city.  What a truly meditative experience.
