Sunset 4 February - Adrian Weatherley

Blazing sun, orange ball of blinding light.

Seagulls soaring, riding the wind and air currents.

The geometry of Queen’s Gardens was a huge revelation.

Soon to be no more.

Bright blue sky, Cirrus clouds gently moving across.

A huge cloud like a brooding ship in the air, then breaking into smaller pieces as it slowly traversed the sky.

The expanse of water of the Humber, grey but sparkling in sunlight.

Green domes of City Hall.

As the sun sank behind clouds, the city was actually more visible, familiar landmarks seen from a new angle.

And more seagulls soaring in front of the pod.
