Sunrise 7 February - Richard Forrester

 

A clear, glorious sunrise awaited to greet me for the morning of my Vigil.  

Quiet and still with the time to observe and reflect are precious moments stolen from us due to today’s 24/7 ‘always on’ society. 

I spent much of my time reflecting what Hull must have been like 50, 100, 200 years ago.  How much it had expanded, changed and what jobs the city centre was filled with back then. 

I also could not help notice the different types of roofs!  Flat, pitched, domed and even turreted!  My new obsession! 

A wonderful experience and a chance to see my home city in a different perspective and light.
