Sunrise 4 February - Jo Ingham

An amazing and unique experience that changed as the hour passed by.  So many things went through my mind – reflections on the city, family, places, time, my personal history and connections to Hull and the history of the city itself, thoughts of how life has changed and is ever-changing. 

As the light spread over the city and river, things became more and more clear.  I could identify more and more places and buildings that are significant to me.  It struck me that maybe everything (or anything) could gain increasing clarity under closer, more sustained scrutiny. 

The hour seemed at once remarkably short and long-lived.  It was a rare and welcome opportunity for solitude, peace and reflection.  It will certainly be an experience that stays with me.  Thank you!
