Sunrise 20 May 2021 - Simon Leafe

I was so looking forward to this unique opportunity to appreciate the wonders of my home city and Hull did look amazing.

The view from the pod was overwhelming. It was as if all of my memories of Hull were condensed into one hour.

The sun rose rapidly and I spent my first half hour observing the East slowly waking up and then moved to watch the West come to life.

If anyone ever needs convincing of the beauty of Hull, an hour looking out from the pod will do it.

In this busy world, I appreciated the chance to stand in silence and reflect on family and the many people and things for which I am very grateful.
