Sunrise 11 October - Pam Medhurst

What a privilege to be able to be a part of this! How wonderful to watch over the city on such a gorgeous morning!

I was lucky as the cloud formations made lots of pictures as the sun came up and then it was so beautiful, seeing the shapes on the river too.

It took a while to orientate myself, but then I was spotting the various buildings I know and then trying to work out what others were. It was good so see the Fair as that is such a big part of my personal memories, as going was always a birthday treat for me. (It was my birthday yesterday.) It also brought back memories of this view from when I was at college here, on the 8th floor in 1981! Thank you for the opportunity. I know when I reflect on this year it will be one of my highlights. And I managed it, without too much difficulty, despite not really liking heights! It felt very secure and I felt very secure in there.
